Quick Start This section attempts to provide basic information for vendor specific XML database and XQuery processor drivers that support xqDoc in order to get someone knowledgeable with a specific vendor implementation up and running with xqDoc. It is not meant to be an in-depth tutorial on how to set up or use a particular vendor's XML database or XQuery processor. For these types of details, the vendor's documentation should be consulted. There are some key assumptions and limitations associated with the core xqDoc conversion package that should be understood. Currently, xqDoc drivers are available for the commercial MarkLogic XML Content Server, the open source eXist XML database, and the open source Saxon XQuery processor. The MarkLogic and eXist drivers are for an XML database while the Saxon driver is for a XQuery processor. As our schedule permits, we hope to add xqDoc drivers for other XML databases and XQuery processors.
